MP attends inaugural ceremony of national integration camp at IHCAE

NAMCHI (IPR): LokSabha MP Indra Hang Subba today attended the inaugural ceremony of the national integration camp at Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco Tourism Institute (IHCAE) at Chemchey, south district. He was accompanied by MadhaviAgarwal, Board of Governor, member of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sangathan alongside ShivashishBannerjee, director, Sikkim Nehru Yuva Kendra, Satyan Kr Pradhan ADC (South),MuskanRai, District Co-ordinator NYKNamchi, officials, local gentry and children from various participating States.
Addressing the gathering, the MP expressed his delight in being a part of this camp. He spoke in brief about the theme of this program which is 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat' and urged the participants to follow this theme to its core. He spoke about the rich performance that the children showcased during the course of the program and said that India is endowed with abundant culture and tradition which should be kept intact. He encouraged the children to strive for integration, despite the different backgrounds that they come from.
Subba underlined the important responsibility that the youths of the country holds and emphasized that they should inculcate positive and progressive way of life in order for the country to run efficiently.
Additionally, the MP touched upon the historical background of Sikkim and spoke about the State’s natural beauty, the essence of secularism and many welfare schemes that the Sikkim government has framed.
Speaking on the occasion, MadhaviAgarwal spoke how this integration camp is being organized at different parts of the country. She expressed how this camp will try and build a connection between youths belonging to different part of the country.
ShivashishBannerjee mentioned that this integration camp is five days long. There are a total number of 16 States and more than 250 children are actively taking part in this camp. This camp is a part of the 23rd National Integration Camp which is being organized across the country. The objective of the camp is to create a mini-India, where youth interact in formal and informal settings and exchange their social and cultural uniqueness.
After the program, the MP along with dignitaries visited the adventure course of IHCAE.
