RANGPO: In a daring rescue effort, a police team led by Rangpo SHO Keshang Bhutia Saturday rescued one Dal Bahadur Biswakarma (29) from being swept away by the Rangpo river.
Dal Bahadur along with his family members had reportedly gone to river for fishing below Madhya Bharat project area and got stuck in the middle of the river while fishing. Despite heavy river current, he was rescued to safety and later handed over to his family by the police.
The Rangpo police station team was assisted by renowned rescuers Praveen Rai alias Saila of 10th Mile area in West Bengal. The Rangpo police station thanked Praveen Rai for his support.
